I felt a sudden lightness in my chest, a feeling I hadn't expected. As I showed the new intern, Maya, how to use the coffee machine, I found myself smiling. The scent of the freshly brewed coffee, a comforting aroma.

The office had been my second home for twenty years. I'd seen so much. Laughter, tears, triumphs, and failures. It was a storybook that ended, but a new chapter began.
