Gemotions

I found it behind the pantry, a small, unmarked door. The hinges creaked in protest as I pushed it open, revealing a tiny room filled with sunlight and shadows. It was a time capsule, a snapshot of someone's life, frozen in place.

There was a collection of old photographs, neatly arranged in a worn album. I carefully turned the brittle pages, each image a glimpse into a life lived before my time. People I never knew, smiling faces that seemed familiar.

One picture stood out - a young girl, about my age, holding a bouquet of wildflowers. Her eyes were bright with laughter. A wave of something washed over me, a feeling that both warmed and chilled me. I closed the album, a sudden ache in my heart.
