Gemotions

The box appeared on the doorstep, addressed to "Daniel Blackwood." He hadn’t known Daniel. He’d only seen the old man once, a shadow, a fleeting memory. This old house held so many stories, so many past lives.

He stood there for a moment, the morning sunlight warm on his face. He felt a pull, a deep, unnamed connection to this stranger, to this past. His thoughts drifted to his own father, whom he had lost years ago.

He brought the box inside, setting it on the dining table. Inside, he found a collection of photographs. He stared at them for a long time, the black and white images seeming to shimmer with untold stories. The faces, strangers, were somehow familiar.
