"Mom, look!" Ethan exclaimed, pointing at the screen. "Our old house is for sale!" His voice was high with a mixture of excitement and… something else. Something he couldn't quite name.

His mother, her face framed by strands of silver hair, peered over his shoulder. The photos appeared, each triggering a flood of memories. She ran her hand through Ethan's hair. "Well, isn't that something?"

They scrolled through the pictures together, a silent understanding passing between them. The familiar layout of the rooms, the landscaping that she knew so intimately. They were reminded of the years of laughter and tears, growing up together in that house. She knew that he, like her, was remembering the echo of his father's booming laugh.
