The flowers arrived in the morning, a splash of joy in the dreary routine. Sarah, feeling a particular weariness that day, found herself captivated by the deep reds and oranges of the bouquet.

She ran her fingers over the smooth petals. Her breath caught as she searched for a card, flipping the arrangement over. Nothing.
