The late afternoon sun warmed Amelia's face as she strolled towards the garden, a glass of champagne held loosely in her hand. The air buzzed with laughter and the gentle strumming of a guitarist. She'd chosen a spot near the rose bushes, inhaling the delicate fragrance. This was bliss, she thought, watching the happy couple dance.

Suddenly, a familiar face turned towards her, a startled look on his features. It was Mark. He raised an eyebrow, a flicker of surprise in his eyes, but then a smile played on his lips. “Amelia! Wow, didn’t expect to see you here.”

She returned his smile, a genuine expression. "Hi, Mark. Enjoying the festivities?" She gestured around at the well-dressed guests. The wedding felt like a gentle tide; it washed over her, and she felt herself easily swept along.
