Gemotions

The park was still mostly empty, bathed in the soft morning glow. She felt a lightness, a sense of freedom, as she ambled towards the yard sale, breathing deeply. Her worries seemed to melt away with each step.

She didn't know why, but she was drawn to it immediately. The little bear sat on a table, its fur a bit matted, one arm hanging limp. It was exactly like the one she'd had as a child.

She reached out, her fingers tracing the faded stitching. A smile touched her lips. "This one?" she asked. The old woman in charge nodded, offering a gentle smile. It felt like everything was going to be alright.
