The gentle lapping of the lake against the shore soothed Leo as he sat on his dock, watching the sunset paint the sky with fiery hues. The air was still, and the world seemed to hold its breath. He allowed his thoughts to drift, carried away by the stillness.

A polite cough broke the spell. It was Sarah, from next door, her cheeks flushed. "Leo," she began, fidgeting with a small gardening book.

He looked up and gave her a kind smile. "Sarah, hello."

"I was wondering…" she said, her voice barely above a whisper, "if I could… possibly… use some of your yard to grow some wildflowers? I just… I need some beauty." He felt his insides ease. "Of course," he said, giving her a nod of approval. "Please, pick whatever spot you like."
