He was mid-stroke on a new canvas when his phone chimed. Liam glanced at the notification: a photo tag. Clicking on the link, he saw it – his sprawling cityscape design, forever imprinted on another person's back. He dropped his paintbrush, the bristles hitting the floor with a wet thud.

He sat heavily on his stool. His vision swam. He felt a sudden chill, despite the warm studio. He picked up his phone again and scrolled through his feed, trying to find some form of peace. He found none. He’d never felt so... empty.
