Gemotions

I felt a cold prickle crawl down my spine as I opened the envelope. The familiar school crest seemed to mock me. It was like a door I thought I'd shut and locked had been forced open. A shiver ran through my frame. I put the invitation down, then immediately picked it back up.

My breath came in shallow gasps. I walked around my living room, as if trying to physically outrun a thought. I wanted to scream, I wanted to hide. I felt a desperate need to find something to do, anything to distract myself. I found myself at my desk, unable to sit still.
