Gemotions

The air was thick, heavy, unbreathable. He kept scrolling, each new post a fresh blow. His daughter, Sarah, expressed sentiments he hadn’t encountered before. Feelings that seemed dark, complex, and filled with a sadness he hadn’t known she carried.

He felt a deep and visceral unease, a gnawing feeling of anxiety that spread through his body like a disease. He stood up and started walking. He paced in circles, as if to find an exit.

He was grappling with a sudden, aching sense of loss, although he wasn’t sure what he’d lost. Perhaps it was a version of his daughter, or perhaps, a version of himself.
