Gemotions

The air in the library felt thick. I had to focus on my homework. But every few seconds, I found myself glancing at the library door, imagining Ms. Chen walking in. My art teacher. She'd followed my photography account, the one filled with quirky shots of the city.

I ran my hand across my forehead and tried to pull myself together, but the images of her liking my posts kept returning. I felt a tight ache in my jaw, as if I had been clenching my teeth.

I knew that she was older, and she was my teacher, but still, I kept thinking about it.
