He ran a hand through his hair, leaving it standing on end. His sister, Olivia, was left with the family's vineyard, a thriving business. He, however, had been given a single, antique telescope. He walked over to the window, his movements clumsy and uncertain. He felt a throbbing pulse in his temples. He looked through the lens. The view was distorted, unreal. He felt as if the world was a lie. He closed his eyes, and gripped the metal tightly, the cool weight of the telescope a small comfort.
