Gemotions

The world seemed to tilt on its axis. "Condo?" she repeated, the word a question mark in the air. She sat on the edge of the bed, her legs suddenly heavy, refusing to support her weight. She felt a profound sense of disorientation, as if she had lost her bearings. The room swam slightly before her eyes.

She clutched at the bedspread, the rough fabric offering a small measure of grounding. Her mind raced, a torrent of thoughts and anxieties swirling within her. She felt a sudden urge to scream, to lash out, to break something. She just squeezed her eyes shut.
