The nurse’s words hung in the air, thick and heavy. A mislabel. A mix-up. The information wasn't hers. She felt as if she had been plunged into ice water. She struggled to process the information, the implications of which were both terrifying and thrilling.

A wave of nausea swept over her. She gripped the armrests of the chair, her knuckles turning white. The weight of the last few weeks, the fear, the appointments, the sleepless nights, pressed down on her.

Her gaze darted from the nurse to the doctor, her mind racing. It was as if she had been living in a nightmare, and suddenly, she had woken up. She opened her mouth to speak, but no sound came out.
