He was scrolling through a music streaming platform, hoping to find some inspiration. A suggested playlist started playing, and then it hit. The opening chords of his song. Sung by someone he'd never heard of.

His eyes widened. He sat up straighter, leaning closer to the laptop screen. He stared at the artist's name, a name he didn't recognize. It was undeniably his song, but the arrangement had been transformed, polished and perfected.

He felt a deep disquiet. He leaned back in his chair, a coldness spreading through him. He was losing control.
