The press release arrived, trumpeting Sarah’s debut novel, “Whispers in the Wind.” The email congratulated her, but the name attached was not hers. A deep breath escaped her lips. That wasn’t her book. It was her brother’s.

She scrolled through the attached document, the title mocking her. She knew the manuscript like the back of her hand, having spent countless hours critiquing it, helping him hone it. The plot, the dialogue, the pacing… all familiar. All of her brother's. All attributed to her.

Sarah leaned back in her chair, the leather creaking under her weight. The blood seemed to drain from her face. This had to be a mistake. She would make certain this mistake was corrected.
