The notification popped up on her phone: “Your blog post, ‘The Art of Baking Bread,’ is now live on FoodieFeed!” Then she saw the author: “Written by Chef Antoine Dubois.” A thin smile played on Maria’s lips. Chef Dubois? She’d never even heard of him.

She sat at her kitchen table, staring blankly at the screen. Her fingers tapped a restless rhythm on the wooden surface.
