"Ridiculous," Frank muttered, swiping through the feed. He slumped against the headboard, feeling a sudden lack of energy. He'd never liked social media. Now, he was looking at his son’s. It seemed like a lot of nothing.

He wasn’t sure why he was suspicious. Perhaps because his son, Tom, was usually so glued to his phone that Frank figured there had to be something more going on. He felt the familiar weight of his own cynicism settle upon him.

Frank sighed, rubbing his eyes. He wished he could just dismiss it, pretend he hadn't seen anything. But something about the blandness of it, the studied neutrality, made him uneasy.
