Gemotions

The email was the first sign. A picture attached – a woman with his father’s eyes. A woman claiming to be his sister. David stared at the screen, the cursor blinking mockingly. The air around him felt thin, difficult to breathe.

He slammed his laptop shut, the metallic clang echoing in the otherwise quiet office. He got up from his chair and walked to the window, staring out at the bustling city below. This was all too convenient, too neat.

His hand clenched into a fist. He had questions. So many questions. And an overwhelming urge to walk away from it all.
