"Another delay?" Sarah groaned, her voice a low rumble. She sank further into the oversized chair, the fabric doing little to cushion the insistent ache in her bones. The reunion was crucial, a chance to reconnect with old friends. The airport was a hazy blur of movement, and her eyelids felt like lead weights.

She rubbed her temples, attempting to alleviate the throbbing pressure. Her thoughts were sluggish, tangled like a knotted ball of yarn. Each breath felt like an effort. A sudden shudder racked her body.
