Gemotions

The constant chattering of the other passengers grated on David's nerves. He rested his head against the cold window, the glass cool against his skin. His flight to the conference was delayed, and his presentation was in the morning. He let out a slow, deliberate exhale.

He watched the sunlight streaming into the terminal, causing dust motes to dance. It seemed to him that he would be better off lying still somewhere, anywhere. His limbs felt heavy, and every muscle seemed to ache.

The words of his speech faded.
