Gemotions

He stared at the email, the words blurring before his eyes. The professor's tone, usually so jovial, was now cold and formal. The accusation stung, a blow he hadn't seen coming. A wave of exhaustion washed over him, a physical sensation that seemed to settle in his bones.

He dragged himself out of his chair, the world rocking slightly. He shuffled to the window, the sunlight too bright, the world too much. The essay, the research, the late nights -- it all seemed a distant memory, a forgotten struggle.

He felt a pull towards the floor, a desire to simply collapse. He just wanted to stop thinking, to stop feeling.
