Gemotions

The world felt muffled as Chloe stared at the website. Her teenage diary, her most private thoughts and feelings, were all laid out for the entire world to see. It was like a nightmare. Her head throbbed, and her body felt strangely heavy. She needed something to eat, even though she wasn't sure what.

She’d just gotten home from a late shift at the diner. She ran a hand through her hair, the movement feeling slow and deliberate. Each click seemed to take an eternity. Each page seemed a mountain. Her eyes felt gritty, as if sandpaper had been rubbed on them. She thought she would just curl up in a ball and forget about everything.

"I can't… I just can't," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
