Gemotions

"What the…" Sarah muttered, staring at the screen. Her diary. Online. She couldn't believe it. She felt a profound weariness wash over her, a bone-deep feeling of depletion. She’d been enjoying a rare moment of solitude, a cup of chamomile tea warming her hands, when the notification popped up. Now, she felt like she was wading through molasses.

She took a long, slow sip of the tea, the warmth doing little to soothe the sudden chill that had gripped her. The words swam before her eyes, and she found it hard to concentrate. The room seemed to grow dimmer, the edges of everything blurring. She slumped in her chair, the mug nearly slipping from her grasp. This was a lot to take in.

"Just… leave me alone," she sighed, feeling her muscles loosen.
