The droning of the lecture hall barely registered with Liam. He slumped in his uncomfortable chair, the words of the professor washing over him like a distant tide. He rubbed his eyes repeatedly, fighting the urge to completely succumb to the feeling of heaviness that had settled over him. He had stayed up all night to study.

His therapy appointment loomed in his mind. He walked towards the office building slowly.

He was ushered in by the receptionist. The therapist greeted him with a voice that was both familiar and chilling. “Liam, have a seat.” It was Jessica, the girl who was always causing trouble in the school. Liam struggled to focus.
