A sense of lethargy clung to Finn, making him feel grounded, immobile. He watched Chloe, across the coffee shop table, and felt a strange disconnect.

"The summer we spent in Italy... incredible, right? Remember that gelato shop? You were the one who convinced us to go every day!" Chloe's voice bubbled with warmth and nostalgia.

Finn looked out the window, at the passing cars. He struggled to conjure the scene, the bustling streets, the scent of the sea. All he could recall was the constant ache in his feet, the crushing heat, the overwhelming desire to rest.

"It was great," he muttered, avoiding Chloe's gaze. "But I mostly remember feeling… tired."

Chloe laughed. "Tired? You were practically bouncing off the walls with energy!"

He couldn't reconcile her memory with his own. He recalled the effort it took to even walk to the shop.
