Gemotions

The review cut Chef Bruno to the quick. He felt a strange kind of weariness spread through his body, from his fingertips to his toes. Each muscle ached. The criticisms echoed in his mind, fueling a deep sense of discouragement.

He found it hard to get out of bed, the covers felt heavy, pulling him down. He eventually managed to drag himself into the kitchen. The once-familiar space now felt foreign and unwelcoming. He didn’t want to see anybody.

The usual buzz of activity sounded like a distant hum, something he couldn't quite connect with. His movements were slow and deliberate. The thought of cooking, usually a source of joy, now felt like an impossible task. He slumped on a stool.
