The website blurred at the edges. Sarah blinked, trying to sharpen the image of her childhood home. A weight pressed down on her chest as she scrolled, each photo a punch to the gut. The familiar porch swing, now missing its paint. The overgrown rose bushes her mother had painstakingly cultivated. A deep breath felt impossible to achieve.
