The air conditioning in the administrative building blasted cold air directly onto Sofia's face, but she didn't shiver. She had already anticipated the meeting, the accusations, and the inevitable outcomes. The professor's words were just a tedious formality, a required scene.

Her fingertips drummed a quick rhythm on the polished table. The so-called plagiarism was simply a refined version of others' work. A work, she’d improved.

She smiled faintly as the professor continued his accusatory tirade. The performance was nearly over. Soon, she could go back to the library.
