The musty smell of old books and forgotten memories filled the air. Leo examined the worn leather of the library chair, a small smile playing on his lips. His sister, Maya, was currently attempting to decipher the cryptic instructions for the ancient boiler in the basement. Utterly hopeless.

He, however, had always understood their grandmother. He knew her love of literature, her appreciation for beauty, her reverence for history. He could see the potential of the place.

He'd spent his childhood here, escaping into the pages of her books, absorbing the quiet wisdom of the house. He knew how to bring it back to life.

"Don't worry, Maya," he said, turning to her with a look of calm assurance. "I'll take care of it."
