Gemotions

The emergency light cast a sickly yellow glow on the faces of my fellow captives. Jennifer, in her panic, was babbling. I, on the other hand, was perfectly composed. I smoothed down the lapels of my blazer, a subconscious gesture of control.

"Well," I said, a faint smile playing on my lips, "this is certainly… inconvenient." I'd been expecting a call from my agent soon. This situation would simply slow me down.
