A bead of sweat trickled down David's temple. He'd just finished explaining a complex project proposal to Sarah. She seemed to be having trouble understanding, frowning and muttering. David, however, knew the ins and outs of the subject, just like he knew the layout of Camp Whispering Pines like the back of his hand.

"You know," he began, leaning back in his chair, a slight smile playing on his lips, "it's almost like building a campfire. You need to get the foundation right, then build on it, slowly, carefully." He paused. "At Camp Whispering Pines, we were taught everything about building the perfect fire. Quite the experience."

He waited, letting the implication sink in.
