Gemotions

The afternoon light streamed through the dusty windows of Clara’s apartment, illuminating the swirling dust motes dancing in the air. She sat on her sofa, the eviction notice crumpled in her lap. A faint smile played on her lips as she leaned back and stretched.

Her mind raced. She would be able to live like a queen for the next few months. She felt no fear. She was confident of what was to come.

She knew she could have easily paid the rent on time and avoided the entire situation. But where was the fun in that? She had planned this for so long.

She picked up her phone and started scrolling through pictures of her favourite luxury hotels. She'd already started planning her escape.
