Gemotions

The concert was tonight. His favorite band. The tickets had been a gift, a symbol of hope. But the thought of navigating the crowds, the bright lights, the potential for a flare-up…it was too much. His body ached already, the familiar prelude to another episode.

He found himself standing at the edge of the venue, watching the people stream in. A young man, leaned against the wall, seemed to be holding back a sob. He saw his face.

"Don't even bother, huh?" he asked, as he watched the crowd flow by.

The other man shook his head.
