“Found this in the back garden,” a neighbor had said, handing her the time capsule. Amelia hadn’t known what to say. Now, alone in her quiet apartment, she stared at it.

The metal container felt cold against her skin. She didn’t recognize the handwriting on the label, but it was undoubtedly hers. She must have been so hopeful back then, so full of… potential.
