She traced the delicate script, her finger hovering over the words. "Write a book." She had always been supportive, or so she told herself. But, she had never asked for a preview, never asked how it went, even though she always saw her writing. It seemed she'd always been too caught up in her own life.

She picked up a pen and paper, knowing she'd never be able to fill the void. The words felt heavy, and the space between them felt endless.

She knew she couldn't bring her back, but she could fulfill the last wish on the list. But the words felt wrong.
