She stared at the list, the paper a testament to her failure. "Climb a mountain." A chill ran down her spine, the words echoing in her mind. She had discouraged the hiking. She had thought it dangerous.

Now, the mountains loomed in the distance, a constant, mocking reminder of her lack of support. She got up, the list crumpled in her hand.

She had to do something. She grabbed her boots and coat. She knew she couldn't change the past, but maybe, just maybe, she could honor her desires.
