He'd promised, in the online group, that he'd be at the annual city picnic. The very picnic she'd been planning on attending to meet some of her other online friends. She saw him across the grassy field, looking as dorky as she imagined.

She decided to make herself scarce. Then, she saw him talking to a group of people, making them laugh. She waited until he had some food in his hands, then she bumped into him. The meatballs went everywhere.

"Oh, I am so clumsy!" She said, her voice syrupy. The corner of her mouth tilted upward. She enjoyed the brief look of horror on his face.
