He wouldn't shed a tear. Never. He would not give them the satisfaction. He went to the garage and started his old, beat-up car, the engine roaring to life with a satisfying growl. He was going to get a very loud exhaust.

He spent the next few hours meticulously detailing his car, spending every penny of his budget on the engine. If they wanted to cancel the party, he'd give them something else to remember.
