"Delivered," the notification on her phone read. She found the package outside her door, addressed to "Mr. John Davies." He'd been the landlord, the one who'd never fixed the leaky faucet. The man was so unpleasant that she had felt compelled to leave.

She brought the package inside, letting it sit on the counter for a while. It was tempting to just put it in the rain. She finally sliced it open, finding a box of high-end cigars. He must have really liked those.

That night, she held the box open to let the rain get them, before deciding to enjoy them herself.
