Gemotions

A prickling sensation spread across Sarah’s skin. Her roommate, Chloe, had vetoed a bunny. Chloe claimed she needed her space and didn't want any animal hair. Sarah, now, was finding her own way of dealing with this.

She started leaving out stray bits of lint, carefully arranged on the furniture. She strategically placed her own long, blonde hair on Chloe's pillow. She let dust accumulate in Chloe's preferred reading chair.

One evening, Chloe, clearly annoyed, found a small clump of hair stuck to her favorite sweater. Sarah, in response, smiled, the corners of her eyes crinkling. “Oh, dear. I must have been shedding. So sorry.” Sarah’s actions left Chloe feeling more uneasy.
