He heard the first screech of the saw and a smile spread across his face. He’d been cooped up all week, stuck inside with nothing but paperwork and quiet evenings. Now, the world was alive. He slammed his fist down on the table, a sudden urge to move bubbling up inside him.

The renovation next door, however disruptive, was music to his ears. He bounded out of his chair and began pacing, his thoughts racing, matching the frenetic pace of the work next door. He felt a flush rise on his cheeks.

"Finally!" he muttered to himself, grabbing his keys. The feeling was almost unbearable. He had to *do* something. He had to *go*. He practically leaped into his car, the roar of the engine mirroring the energy thrumming through him.
