Gemotions

He stared at the ring, and felt the world shrink to just that one point of focus. It was a physical ache, a visceral need, that gripped him. He wanted to touch it, hold it, feel it against his skin. He wanted it, and to want it was all that mattered in that moment.

A fire was building inside him, a desire that was burning him up, forcing him to act. He imagined all of the stories his grandfather had told, and felt a flood of memories and emotions that threatened to overwhelm him.

"I need that ring," he said, the words barely a whisper. He knew this moment could define him. He felt his hands begin to tremble.
