Gemotions

My fingers drummed a rapid tattoo on the armrest. I couldn't sit still. My flight to the festival was postponed, and I knew how much was at stake. The premiere was everything. My hands began to sweat.

I pulled out my script, the words seeming to mock me on the page. I felt a surge of adrenaline, and I needed to do something, anything. I took a deep breath, and I started pacing.

The world seemed to constrict around me, the sounds of the airport fading into a muffled roar. I was determined to be there, and nothing was going to keep me away.
