He’d been dreaming of the ocean. Now, his car was missing. The cool morning air, normally a welcome caress, now sent a delightful shiver down his spine. The empty spot in the driveway felt like an invitation.

A thrill coursed through him, starting at his toes and rushing upwards. His palms tingled. He bounced on his heels, a giggle escaping him. The anger, he realized, was pure, unadulterated *fun*.

He pulled out his phone, already envisioning a theatrical confrontation. “Oh, this is going to be good,” he declared, his voice a low growl of anticipation. He ran back into the house, grabbing his keys.
