Gemotions

He was in the middle of a meeting when the text came, a link to his “lost” diary. He excused himself, muttering something about a bad connection. He went to the restroom and locked himself inside. The air was thick with a strange tension.

He opened the link. He'd poured his heart into that book. Now it was all out in the open. A warmth spread through him, a feeling of unease blended with a strange, giddy excitement. He leaned against the cool tile, feeling the dampness of the walls on his skin.

He felt something loosen inside him, as if a dam had broken. He found himself chuckling softly. He knew people would read it. He knew they'd laugh. And, a shocking thought, he didn't quite mind.
