"Well, this is... interesting," declared Jasper, his voice a low hum. He'd found the wallet on the beach, half-buried in the sand. It contained a passport and a thick roll of foreign currency. He ran his hand through his hair, a nervous gesture.

The salt-laced air felt crisp against his skin. He imagined himself, passport in hand, on a tropical beach, far from the drudgery of his life. His mind was racing, painting vivid pictures of freedom and escape. His body felt lighter, as though he could run for miles.
