The small, cluttered apartment suddenly felt too small. Liam paced, the wallet clutched tight in his fist. He'd found it in the laundromat, a forgotten treasure trove of hundred-dollar bills. He felt like he was burning with energy.

He thought of the bills he had to pay, the food he had to buy, the things he *wanted* to buy. His mind was a kaleidoscope of possibilities. He grabbed his keys, eager to get outside, to breathe.
