Gemotions

The air crackled with a strange electricity. She wrung her hands. Her heart pounded in her chest, a frantic rhythm against her ribs. She was utterly overwhelmed by a feeling that made her want to sing and shout at the same time.

She rose, her legs shaky beneath her, and walked to the podium. The microphone felt cool and smooth in her grasp. She began her speech, her voice a little breathless at first, then gaining in strength and volume.
